Last week we had the best time EVER at Liverpool Tattoo Convention. It was our third year with a stall there, and our first year without Hannah, who's currently working remotely while travelling. Luckily Emily, one of our brilliant Artists, and our friend V decided to come down and help out.
Liverpool is one of our favourite Conventions of the year, you may have seen our blog post on our Top Ten Things a few weeks ago, and we really feel this convention has one of the best vibes.
Conventions are not only a way for lots of Tattoo Artists to get together to work and party, it's also a chance to get tattooed by a new Artist, meet new people and check out cool music and shops while enjoying a beer. Basically it's like a festival, in a hotel with cheap beer. What could be more fun!
This year we set up shop right in the middle of the show and got started. As well as having TONS of new Artists working with us, we also had A3 ART IS IMPORTANT Posters to give away for FREE and lots of awesome handmade Coasters by Emily.
Through the weekend there was tons going on, The Fuel Girls, Eve Elle (Scary Knife throwing!) and Doctor and the Medics....
Once we finished work we couldn't wait to get involved, and V got up on the Rock Karaoke and sung the Finale Song! Go V!
We also saw loads of great Artists working, included Beany Simner, and a few Artists we have some really big project plans coming up with us!
Saturday Night we went crazy and went to Weatherspoons (We love a bit of classy spoons) which gave us the chance to treat ourselves to A LOT of cheap gin!
Unfortunately Sunday Night when we went to pack up we realised our car battery was flat (!) but the Liverpool Tattoo Convention team as always, went ABOVE and BEYOND to help us out.
So we had an ace weekend and can't wait to get back next year! If you have never been to a Convention or want to try a new one we recommend checking them out. Next stop for us will be Leeds.. If you have any conventions you like let us know in the comments!
